First look at Zemanta

Couple of weeks back I started writing blogs. It is very difficult to add links wherever required and also writing relevant tags.

Today I came across Zemanta (which has launched its alpha release today). It has developed a facility for blogs to suggest contextually relevant links, pictures, related content and tags using an internally developed semantic analysis engine. It also builds links to related stories.

I heard a lot about semantic web. Today I got a chance to experience the semantic web based application for the first time. It is GREAT!!

Zemanta doesn't support Opera which is my primary browser. It supports Firefox only. So I've installed Zemanta plugin in Firefox and start writing my blog. It was great. As soon as I've completed about 300 words, it has listed relevant tags, relevant links and relevant images.. I've just selected them. Then it has given the wonder. My blog looks good now.

Zemanta claims that they give these...

* Pleasure: it's fun to see your words paired with great links and pix
* Content: Pictures, Links, Articles and Tags
* Convenience: no more trolling the web for content for your posts
* Traffic: links to recent blog posts frequently result in return traffic

Yes. it is...thanks to Zemanta..
